Wanderful Tips: Beach Trip Essential Packing List
Sometimes in the deep of winter, when you haven’t seen the sun in weeks, remembering what life is like in temperatures above freezing can be difficult. Don’t worry, we’ve got your essential packing list ready for your much deserved beach getaway!
The good news: you won’t need to pack too much for the perfect “island casual” vacation looks.
Just follow the the list below and you will be ready to trade in your snow boots for sandals, and pack for paradise!
Carry On
If you are checking a bag, don’t be left unprepared if something were to happen to your luggage. Always be sure to keep these essentials in your carry on so you can relax on the beach while your luggage is on its own vacation.

Pack clothes that are lightweight and work with higher temperatures and humidity. But if you are always freezing like me, a sweatshirt for your air-conditioned hotel room is never bad to have on hand.
Shoes
Waterproof flip flops for the beach
Wedge or dressy sandal for the evening
Running shoes (if you plan on exercising during your vacation)
Pants or Dressy Shorts
1 dark, 1 light to mix and match with tops
Tops
3 tops
o Extra points for tops with bright colors and fun patterns—you’re in paradise after all!
Dresses
2 dresses (one short, one maxi)
Extra points for light, airy dresses - those are perfect for day and can be dressed up with accessories at night!
Beach Items
2 bathing suits (+ the one in your carry on!)
1 or 2 cover ups that can be used at the pool/beach, as well as casual dining spots
Accessories
1 pair of sunglasses
1 beach hat
1 beach bag
1 clutch for evening
2 necklaces (one long, one short)
1 bold pair of earrings
1 light scarf, in case its chilly at night
1 pair of lightweight pajamas

Sunscreen (including face and lip sunscreen!)
Bug spray
Waterproof bag (or even a ziplock) to keep electronics safe from water and sand

Pro tip: always double check you have your bathing suit, sunglasses and prescriptions - these can be the most hard and expensive to replace - so don’t forget!
