Journey to Peru
It's hard to do justice to how wonderful Andrea was. I have never used a travel agent and happened to meet Andrea at a time when I was feeling overwhelmed by figuring out how to plan a trip to Machu Picchu - which type of pass, which train, guide, hotel, how to get from the train to Machu Picchu, etc.
Andrea was just perfect, and planned truly the most magical trip I could possibly imagine. She took the time to talk to me about what I was looking for, offered me options, was flexible to accommodate hotel and credit card point preferences, took care of all the planning, added an extra guest last minute, found us THE MOST BEAUTIFUL hotel of all time and a tour operator that somehow upgraded us to the luxury train. I simply did not stop smiling for 24 hours as we went from the train, to a private guided tour, to our complimentary massages to our suite. I'm kind of obnoxiously particular, and Andrea nailed it from start to finish. - LK, New York, NY
Journey to Costa Rica
Andrea planned a family trip for me to Costa Rica. When we first spoke, I told her we were 6 people with diverse interests but all wanting an adventure/nature/wildlife filled vacation. I also stressed that I am very particular about where I sleep. I like boutique, beautiful, clean, 4- 5 star accommodations. Everything she set up was spot on; repelling, zip-lining, guided trekking, biking, white water rafting. We were blown away when we arrived at the Amor Arenal for our 4 night stay, it was paradise, we didn't want to leave.
But the best part of working with Andrea, was Andrea. She was meticulously organized and communicative. I am a crazy busy person, not great at reading emails or responding. She kept me on task, made multiple changes to our itinerary, and was always patient, sweet and willing to do whatever I needed, even booking my flights for me using my points. Journey to Sri Lanka
I usually prefer to plan my own trips – but Andrea is the one person in the world I defer to in travel planning. I trust her to do her research properly, plan everything to the right level of detail (without losing room for spontaneity) and most of all – understand me enough to customize the itinerary to suit my travel style.
Recently, I relied on Andrea to plan a last minute 2-week trip to Sri Lanka for me, and both she and Sri Lanka exceeded all of my expectations. Her advice was absolutely spot-on, and she was there for me 24/7 whenever I had questions, despite the time difference. Andrea was there for me at every turn, even when I emailed her from Rome with a question. She had terrific suggestions for places to go, tours to take, hotels to stay in. She diligently researched all my specific needs, including a hotel that had a pool that stayed open late for a dip after a long day of touring. During planning, I was unsure of exactly the direction I wanted to take and she offered numerous alternatives from which to choose. The tour guides she suggested were incredibly talented and enhanced our travels.
