Welcome to the Wanderful Journeys Blog!

Travel has always played a huge role in my life.  From a young age I was fascinated by far away places and learning about different cultures.  My inquisitive nature, coupled with an inherent drive to explore the world, transformed travel into a lifelong passion for me.  Over the years, I have been fortunate to explore over 90 countries across 6 continents, with each destination fueling even more wanderlust than the last.

There are so many reasons I love travel - from being able to see the sheer beauty of this planet, connecting with the past, interacting with different cultures, broadening world views, pushing limits, living in the moment, and on, and on, and on...

As immense as my love for travel remains, after each trip and adventure, there is one thing that I have come to love even more: sharing my experiences with others to highlight that the world is wide open for EVERYONE to experience.

And that is why I created Wanderful Journeys -  to help enable people to see the world.

Travel is meant to expand boundaries and facilitate life changing experiences - no matter the budget, time constraints, group size, comfort level, preferences, etc.   Whatever your travel style, it is possible to piece together a perfect trip that is right for YOU.

Trust me...I've done it all...(well a lot of it...).  I've been a luxury traveler, mid-range traveler, backpacker, flashpacker, and a little bit of all them at once.  Here's a little taste of some of the highlights:

  • Luxury adventure trekking in Chile's Patagonia

  • Camper-vanning through the South Island of New Zealand

  • Private wine tastings Tuscany

  • Homestay in the mountains of Northern Vietnam

  • Camping on the Inca Trail in Peru

  • Glamping in the desert of Jordan

  • Helicopter safari in Botswana

  • Ayurevdic yoga spa retreat in Sri Lanka

  • The time I drove from London, England to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, then continued eastwards on the Trans-Siberian Railway to Vladivostok, Russia, and then took a ferry to South Korea...

Travel has been a catalyst for so many transformational moments in my life, and I can't wait to use this blog as a vehicle to share more of my incredible travel experiences, lessons learned, and tips for future travelers.

My vision for this blog is to:

  • Showcase the beauty of the world and the people in it

  • Share knowledge about destinations and travel tips

  • Encourage others to see more of the world and expand their limits

There is so much to see in the world, don't keep waiting for 'one day' to experience it all.  I'm here to help in any way I can to open the opportunity of travel for you.

Have a wanderful journey,

Andrea
